Research impact is now a central and vital part of academic life. For many researchers and university staff, however, creating and recording the change made though research is a daunting and illusive challenge. With the interests and demands of the REF, funders, university leaders and academics themselves all in play, it’s easy to see why many people are still not sure how to approach impact in university research.
This 1-day masterclass from our in-house impact expert equips university managers, researchers and support staff with an accessible and useful approach to research impact.
Using real-life case studies, practical tools and empirical evidence, it provides a comprehensive guide to planning, creating and capturing the difference we make through research. The course content is always tailored to the mix of learners in the room and can cover the following topics:
• Understanding Impact • Planning and Creating Impact • Capturing ImpactCourse Leader
