The Alternatives Humanitaires association, governed by the French 1901 law of associations, was created in 2015 for the publication and distribution of Humanitarian Alternatives/Alternatives Humanitaires and to develop various activities in line with the review’s objectives.
In 2019, the Alternatives Humanitaires association took on, as one of its activities, the organisation of the Forum Espace Humanitaire (FEH), an event that gives leaders of French international solidarity organisations the opportunity to meet, discuss, and explore the issues that structure their activities.
The Board of Directors of Alternatives Humanitaires comprises three colleges: one for founding members, one for co-opted members, and one for partners. As the association’s decision-making body, it bases its decisions on the advice of the review’s Orientation Council and the Organising Committee of the FEH.
The association currently has four employees. Its head office is located on the premises of Handicap International in Lyon.
